Channel Letters
Also called: LED channel letters · front-lit channel letters · halo-lit channel letters · reverse-lit channel letters · illuminated channel letters
Channel letters are individually fabricated dimensional letters mounted to a storefront, typically illuminated with LEDs. America West Signs builds front-lit, halo-lit, reverse-lit and combination channel letter sets for Sacramento businesses, including UL-listed electrical, permit drawings and crane installation.
Most Sacramento storefront tenants need channel letters to satisfy a landlord sign criteria document, a city sign ordinance, and a brand standard at the same time. We design backwards from those three constraints so the letters get approved on the first plan check. Returns are .063 aluminum, faces are 3/16″ acrylic with translucent vinyl, and trim caps match Pantone in 1″ or 3/4″ depth. LEDs are GE Tetra or Sloan PrismaLED, both UL 48 listed.
Choose Front-lit channel letters over halo-lit when you need maximum daytime and nighttime brand visibility at standard storefront viewing distance.
Choose Halo-lit (reverse-lit) channel letters over front-lit when you want an upscale, architectural look on a clean façade — the letters read as silhouette by day and glow at night.
Choose Combination front + halo lit over either alone when the landlord criteria allows it — you get both bold daytime read and premium nighttime depth.
